This week's tips will show you how to reverse some of the weird changes Apple made to iTunes 10, how to use Apple's 10W iPad power adapter more effectively, share the music on your iPhone at your friend's party, and how to delete files in File Sharing on your iPad.
Bring iTunes 10 Back to Its Original Glory
We are not sure why Apple decided to break their own Human Interface Guideline rules, but they did when they designed iTunes 10 with a vertical versus horizontal arrangement for the Close, Minimize and Maximize buttons. Here's how you fix it:
1. Open the Terminal application in /applications/utilities
2. Enter the following command followed by hitting return to restore the buttons to a horizontal layout:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes full-window -1

If you decide that you liked the new vertical layout after all then restore it in terminal using this command:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes full-window -0

Lighten Your Load Using the iPad 10W USB Power Adapter
Are you an IT Road Warrior? Do you need to have everything with you stuffed into your laptop bag, except for the kitchen sink? Looking to lighten the load? Apple's iPad 10W USB Power Adapter is the answer for you.

According to Apple, "the iPad USB Power Adapter is a 10W charger. While designed for use with the iPad, you can use the iPad 10W USB Power Adapter to charge all iPhone and iPad models." Simply attach any of these devices to the adapter using any Dock Connector to a USB cable and you're all set.
If you have an iPhone 3G and the battery indicator acts up, or doesn't update while using this adapter, try restarting your iPhone 3G to reset the battery indicator.
Pretty handy if you ask us, since now we can leave all the other power adapters at home. Laptop bags feel a bit lighter now.
Share Your iPhones Music at a Party
If you have your iPhone and access to a computer running iTunes 10, you can share your music with your friends. Just plug your iPhone into that computer via sync cable, browse to the music library on your iPhone, select a song, hit play, and dance until the cows come home. You don't have to enable "manual sync mode" anymore, and the usual restrictions about downloading music are still there, but at least iTunes 10 makes listening easier than ever before.

Delete iPad Documents in iTunes
The File Sharing feature in iTunes takes advantage of new features introduced in iOS 4.0 that allow apps to share files with the outside world. You can add documents to apps that support this feature by simply dragging and dropping them in iTunes, but what about deleting them?
Although it isn't clear at first glance, you can delete documents from the File Sharing feature. Simply select the file you want to delete in the Documents list and press the Delete key. You'll have to confirm your decision and once you do the file is gone. It will also be immediately removed from your iPad.
