This weeks' tips include a way to manage screen orientation on your iPad, another way to check your iPhone data usage, a tip on managing misbehaving apps, and moving quickly through the pages of apps displayed on your iPhone desktop.
Screen Orientation Lock for iPad

The iPad is a great device, but one of the things that makes it a bit disorienting to use is the way it automatically flips from landscape to portrait as you move it around. In some cases, like when editing photos or drawing, this movement can be annoying and a distraction. We are fortunate that Apple took this into consideration by adding a sliding switch on the side of every iPad that locks the screen orientation. We suggest that you use it liberally or whenever you are doing any fine or detailed drawing or photo editing.
Compatibility: iPad.
Another Way to Check Your iPhone Data Usage

Last week we published some tips on how to check your data usage that included using AT&T's website or AT&T's myWireless app. If you don't have access to the web or this app you can still check your data by dialing: *3282# and pressing Call.
Compatibility: iPhone.
Force Quit an App
If you are experiencing problems with an app where it crashes, acts erratically, or just plain isn't working right, try forcing it to quit. You can do this by pressing and holding the Home button, while the app is running, for approximately six seconds. If you are successful, the app will close and you will be returned to the iPhone Springboard (aka the desktop). If you are still having problems try resetting your phone using last week's tip.
Compatibility: iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Quickly Scroll Through Springboard Pages
Are you looking for particular app and don't remember what Springboard page it is on? Scroll quickly left or right through all eleven pages by tapping just to the right or left of the row of dots representing each page. If you go far enough to the left you'll be presented with the option to search your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad for what you are looking for. Pressing the Home button at any time returns you to the left most Springboard page. Note: you will not always see eleven dots -- this is dependent on the number of apps you have or how you manually arranged them in iTunes.
Compatibility: iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
