AT&T has announced that beginning June 7, new iPhone and iPad data plans will no longer be unlimited for new customers, and that the plans will be capped off to either 200MB or 2GB. To figure out which data service may be perfect for you, read on for tips on how to find out how much data you use a month with your iPhone.
AT&T's Website

Click to Embiggen
You can see how much data you send and receive through AT&T's wireless network using their website:
1. Launch your favorite web browser and visit the AT&T website.
2. Log into your AT&T account.
3. Select the option for Bill and Payments.
4. Select Create a Biling Report which is located under the Billing Reports heading.
5. Select Data Usage Trend from the Report pop-up menu. You can adjust the date range to see your data usage from various time periods.
Compatibility: iPhone (and cellular modem data).
AT&T's myWireless Mobile App

You can check your monthly data usage on your iPhone using AT&T's myWireless Mobile app which is free and available via iTunes. The app will also show you how many text messages you've used, minutes you've used, how many minutes you have left in your plan and you can also pay your bill, as well as perform other tasks for your account.
Compatibility: iPhone.
Other iPhone Tips this Week:
Airplane Mode
Apple included Airplane Mode in the iPhone and the iPad. If you place any of your iDevices into this mode they can safely be used on an airplane. Turning it on deactivates wireless connections and transceivers that include: cellular data (3G), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS on your iPhone or iPad. You have the option of turning Wi-Fi and Bluetooth back on together or individually. Launch the Settings App and turn Airplane Mode on--you'll find it at the very top of the opening screen labeled Settings.
Airplane mode can also be used to prevent access to non-Wi-Fi data networks which inturn prevents premium data service usage to only when you really need it.
Compatibility: iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Screen Capture
Do you need to record what you see on your iPhone screen for prosperity? You can use this handy tip for recording practically anything that you see on your iPhone Screen. Press the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously and immediately release them. The screen will briefly flash. The current screen contents will be saved to your Camera Roll or Saved Photos.
Compatibility: iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
