When you have more than one document, the start up page for the iWork apps shows the new document viewer. You can get to the edit screen either by tapping the Edit button or by tapping and holding on one of the documents in the listing (just as you would to rearrange an app on the Home Screen).

While in edit mode, there are a few new options. Tap on multiple documents to perform an action with them. With multiple documents selected, tap on the plus button in the top-left corner of the app to duplicate the documents, or delete them by pressing the trash can button.

You can also now place one or more documents (at the same time) in a folder. This is done similar to the way you rearrange apps on your Home Screen. Select one or multiple documents, and then tap and drag them to another document. When you do this, a new folder will be created.

Another (somewhat) hidden feature of the new document manager is the ability to sort the documents by Name or Date. To do this, drag your finger downward on the screen to reveal the sort options. The default sorts by date.

Pages and Numbers have a new Smart Zoom feature that allows for easier data entry with smaller screens like the iPhone and iPod touch. This feature automatically zooms into the text at about 60%, letting you easily view the text at a comfortable distance. You can also use pinch-to-zoom on all versions of the apps to zoom in or out of the text.

In the iPad version of the Pages application, you can also now set the font style and size from the ruler bar.

To get to the font settings on the iPhone and iPod touch versions of the Pages app, go into the text entry mode (by tapping on any text field), then tap on the small “i” button in the toolbar. You will then be presented with a pop up allowing you to specify font style, list, and layout.

One of the coolest features that came with this update is the ability to use Keynote Remote to control presentations on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch using another iOS device. To do this, go to Tools > Settings > Remote on your presentation device and enable remotes.

Launch Keynote Remote on your secondary iOS device and select Link to Keynote > New Keynote Link. You will be presented with a passcode to enter on the presentation device.

Head over to Remote Settings on your presentation device and select “Link” beside of the device name running Keynote Remote.

Type in the passcode displayed on your Keynote Remote device. After doing this, the devices will be paired, allowing you to control your presentations from your iPhone, iPod touch, or (awkwardly) with an iPad.
