Missing Keys on Mac Keyboards

I just switched from a PC to a MacBook because everything is supposed to be easier on the Mac. But somehow, Macs managed to replace the nice, easy Print Screen button with Command-Shift-3 or some monstrosity. And there’s no Forward Delete key either.

Now all we have to do is press Option-4 on our keyboards to capture a selected area of our screen and save it to our Desktop.
Macs are generally easier to use than Windows PCs, but this is one of those rare instances where PCs may have Macs beat. None of Apple’s keyboards come with a Print Screen button, and only Apple’s wired USB Keyboard comes with a Forward Delete key. But you can quickly accomplish both of these things with a bit of craftiness.
To forward-delete with your cursor, hold down the Fn (which stands for function) key on your keyboard while you press the Delete key. Some third-party keyboards still have the Forward Delete key, including the Moshi Celesta ($120, www.aevoe.com/shop).
And to take a screenshot using a keyboard shortcut that you can actually remember, go to System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse and click the Keyboard Shortcuts tab. Underneath the Screen Shots heading is a list of the different types of screenshots and their keyboard shortcuts. To change an existing shortcut, double-click it and then type your desired shortcut on your keyboard. If you’re confused about what the symbols represent, ⇑ indicates the Shift key, ⌥ is the Option key, ^ is the Control key, and ⌘ is the Command key.
