If you're obsessive, like some of the Mac|Life staff, you've arranged your apps and Web clips on your iPhone for optimal touch goodness. Even with the ability to create 9 different home screens, we still hear folks lamenting the inability to place a blank space between apps on their home screens.
Well, with the right Web clip you can create the "spacer" that'll finally separate your games from your social apps.
1. In mobile Safari, navigate to a site with a lot of black space. I chose http://googleblack.tripod.com. Zoom in on the site until you only see black.
2. Press + and choose "Add to Home Screen"
3. Replace the sites descriptive text with a period. Click add.
4. Place your new spacer wherever you want.
You can make multiple spacers using the same site and procedure. You can have a row of them separating your apps like in the image above. Of course, your spacers will be aquafied by the iPhone, but it's a small price to pay for organization.

Clever, but really ugly and inelegant.
I agree, saltminer
