If you've had trouble obtaining your iPad from your nearest Best Buy, but they could just never seem to keep them in stock, or it just plain did not have an Apple section, then worry no more. The company announced today that they will expand iPad sales to all 1,093 nationwide locations.
The device had been available at Best Buy stores earlier this year, but it was only limited to 673 retail locations with Apple Shop sections. Now all locations will carry the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G versions on September 26.
"Technology is becoming more and more personal, and our customers say they really value visiting a Best Buy store to touch and try the iPad for themselves," mentioned Wendy Fritz, senior vice president of computing with Best Buy. "We're delighted that we'll soon make that opportunity available to everyone who'd like to come see us, and experience this device in any Best Buy store nationwide."
While Best Buy might have experienced "constrained inventory" earlier this year with the iPad's launch, supply issues are now apparently no longer an issue. Exec Brian Dunn feels that the iPad and other tablets will be "big for us during the holidays."
Best Buy will also sell a wide range of accessories for the iPad as well.
