As fall moves forward, it can be expected that iPad rumors will start to pick up. We had mentioned last week about Apple possibly working on a smaller iPad, perhaps a la the new PlayBook. If a group of analysts from Goldman Sachs are to be believed (and their supply chain sources), we may actually just see a thinner iPad, but still maintaining the same 9.7" size.
According to the group, the second-gen iPad would see a spring of 2011 appearance and would sport a new camera, mini USB as well as a lighter design.
Analysts Henry King and Kevin Lu are citing supply checks, believing that Hon Hai will continue to be the lone manufacturer of the 9.7-inc model, but Apple still remains unclear about a second partner that they would want to enlist to help build the new iPads.
Delving further into their checks, they also found that "the 7" iPad has not yet been finalized" and thus is "unlikely to be launched ahead of the new 9.7" iPad."
