Yep, racing through NYC complete with snow effects. On your iPhone or iPod touch. Enjoy.
We’ll just get this right out of the way: Asphalt 4: Elite Racing, looks terrific and packs most of the bells and whistles you’d expect from a console racer into a nitrous-fueled package perfect for racing on-the-go.
You race twenty-eight licensed cars in cities around the world hoping to become the VIP of the racing world. If competing for first place gets tiresome, racing modes like Cash Attack, Cop Chase, and Beat ‘Em All adds variety; while Burnout-like takedowns and police chases spice up the action. The onscreen mayhem takes a frequent toll on the framerate, but not so much that it gets in the way of driving.
When challenging flesh-and-blood drivers, Asphalt 4’s multiplayer mode allows you to race with friends on the same Wi-Fi network. If head-to-head contests aren’t your thing, Asphalt 4 also lets you compare your cash ranking with other racers on the online leader board.
Securing new cars and upgrading them is easy. Races help you earn money, and that money simply unlocks more stuff; you never have to think about what an item costs. All you need to worry about is how upgrades affect your car's stats, like top speed, steering, braking, and acceleration. You can customize your car and be ready for the next race in no time.
A great racing addition to the App Store. Mobile racing fans, we have a new champion.
