If you're unimpressed with having to pay $25 a month for the 2 GB of data tethering provided by AT&T's DataPro plan, brace yourselves: AT&T is planning on offering customers an additional 2 GB worth of tethering goodness to their customers. Unfortunately, that additional data's gonna set you back an additional $20 per month.
According to Engadget, AT&T is upping their DataPro tethering plan to a maximum of 4 GB at a cost of $45 per month. While that might be great news for all the road warriors out there who rely on their smartphones for on-the-go data connectivity, this should be welcomed, albeit expensive news. In addition to the offering twice as much data for almost twice as much money, the telecom has also told users to hang on tight in anticipation of the introduction of a mobile hotspot application for a number of their smartphone handsets, starting with the HTC Inspire when it launches on February 13th.
