Sonos, creator of multi-room music streaming hardware, has released Sonos Controller for iPhone, a software app that turns an iPhone or iPod touch into another music remote. While the interface differs, the free iPhone app packs the same features as the $399 Controller. The software is available through iTunes and requires at least one Zone Player and a home Wi-Fi network.
Sonos has also added additional online streaming options to all of its hardware products, including free Last.fm and Pandora service. We’ll take that icing, but we’re looking forward to the App Store remote’s cake. Check back soon for our full review.
