After a few days of trying out the new iPhone 3G and iPhone Software 2.0, here are a few tips we picked up.
Save web images: Tap and hold on image. A menu will pop up from bottom of screen, tap Save on Image, the image will be loaded into your Camera Roll in the Photos App.
Screen grab: Hold down the Home button and tap on the top button. You will see a white flash, your screen grab is in your Camera Roll in the Photos App. Don't forget the fun you can have with this.
Save images from email: Tap and hold on image. A menu will pop up from bottom of screen, tap Save on Image, the image will be loaded into your Camera Roll in the Photos App.

Voice Mail down: If your Visual Voice Mail button just isn't working, and you can't set up your new greeting. Call your iPhone's number from your iPhone. Once you finish the set up, Visual Voice Mail should work.
SIM card savings: If someone in your family is inheriting your OG iPhone, check with AT&T to see if you need a new SIM card ($13). If you're a bit more daring, just place your family members SIM card into the OG iPhone and try activating it with iTunes. We tried it, and it worked just fine. Your results my vary.

Insurance: Don't forget to remove any insurance you have after replacing a regular phone with the iPhone. We found that AT&T still planned on charging us $4.99 a month for insurance when they don't offer insurance on the iPhone.

Old SMS plan: We also found that AT&T still had our old SMS package, in addition to the OG iPhone data plan, on our account. Yeah, we turned that off too.

Waiting: If you still plan on getting an iPhone, but despise the idea of standing in line, the Apple site is updated nightly with the next day's stock and AT&T is taking pre-orders. Both options allow you to decide when you're going to get an iPhone. Maybe you could take a late lunch and pick one up later this week.

MobileMe: Setup MobileMe in iTunes and get ready to be patient. It took an hour for the whole system to sync up our information. After that, no problems.

Move that app: iTunes App Store apps can be moved from computer to computer much like other iTunes purchases. Just be sure the computers have the same iTunes account that purchased the app. Now everyone in the house with an iPhone can play Monkey Ball for a single payment of $9.99.
Ring a ding ding: Miss your old ringtones? You can drop audio files into GarageBand, edit them down to 40 seconds, and create ringtones for your new iPhone. If you already have audio files cut and ready to go, try Ambrosia's iToner. Plug in your iPhone and just drag and drop your audio files. Looking for some extra geeky ringtones?
