Apple reports that it sold over one million iPhone 3Gs this past weekend. It took Apple 74 days to sell one million OG iPhones.
Thats a huge chuck of time when you think about it. Let's assume that the average activation time was 35 min. That breaks down to:
35 million minutes
or
583,333 hours
or
24,305 days
or
3,472 weeks
or
Over 66 years of activations.
All those activations might explain why you didn't get out of the Apple Store in time for the early bird special at Denny's.
Apple also announced over 10 million App Store downloads in the first weekend. The App Store now boasts over 800 applications. None of those bring copy and paste to the iPhone.
