In PapiRiver, you use your accelerometer to guide Mr. Papi as he travels down a river on your iPhone or iPod touch’s screen. There are no obstacles except the shore, but if Mr. Papi bumps against it, he’ll get bounced back up to the top of the screen. If he gets knocked off the screen, it’s bye-bye, Mr. Papi. Your score increases the longer you play, and you can submit your high score to the PapiRiver website. PapiRiver has pleasingly retro sound effects, and you can hold your device in any position and calibrate the tilt sensor to accommodate.
PapiRiver is a nice diversion, but there’s just not much game here.
