We want to believe, we really do. However, with each passing day and every new rumor it gets harder and harder to keep the faith. The iPhone has been shackled to AT&T for so long that fathoming the notion of the handset on another network without jailbreaking is becoming harder and harder. We're sure it will happen eventually, but when? Susquehanna Financial Group believe they may have an answer to this vexing question.
According to AppleInsider, an analyst attached to the company by the name of Jeffrey Fidacaro sent a note to investors detailing the fact that Apple is prepared to throw together three million CDMA compatible iPhones by the end of the year. Fidacaro backed up this statement by citing the fact that Apple's overseas suppliers were given their marching orders to complete the handsets with a December headline. This would make the handsets available for launch in early 2011. While we're tempted to believe what Fidacaro is selling, we've got to question what he's selling. Fidacaro doesn't bother to mention what suppliers he's referring to, and no other online sources that we were able to located could flesh the story out will any factual information.
We'll update you on this one as more details become available.
