Apple's quarterly earnings report showed the enormity of iPhone sales across the globe. Recently though, the device took a bit of a hit in Japan, where a report has the new Samsung Galaxy S as the new number one there. It's the first time in well over eighteen weeks that Apple's smartphone has been knocked out of the number one position.
Sure sure, it's only been one week, and granted the sales are reflecting the first week during which Samsung's device was up for purchase.
Japanese market researcher BCN is claiming that the Galaxy has knocked out the 32 GB iPhone 4. But, if you add on the 16GB iPhone 4 sales to sales of the 32GB unit, and voila, Apple still holds the top spot.
One has to wonder if this is just another part of the continued adoption uptick in the Android world, or just merely a blip on the radar?
