iPhone Cases: In Case of Emergency, Dial C-A-S-E

iPhone Cases: In Case of Emergency, Dial C-A-S-E

You paid a whole lotta money for your iPhone, so why not invest $25 to $35 in a solid protective case for it? We’ve rounded up some of the first iPhone cases to hit the market. The type of case you want will depend on how much you’re willing to fiddle with it. For example, holsters such as the Elan Holster, Slim-Fit Case, and the HipCase won’t let you use the iPhone while it’s encased, but they do offer a means of protection. More iPhone cases are being released as you read this, so you can bet we’ll be taking a look at those too.

The iPhone is tough enough to go without a case, but a little extra protection can't hurt.

Donna

In your Oct, 2007 issue you did an article "25 iPhone Power Tips" with number 9 being "say No to Magnets"--p.23. Well before this article I did order 2 magent cases from Sena Cases for my iPhone and my sister's. After reading your article I called Apple and they confirmed you information in your article. So I e-mailed Sena requesting my $$ back. Note below are there responses:

I apologize Donna, per our policy I do not believe that this is a suitable resolution, as the owner of the merchandise perhaps you should explore a method of reselling the merchandise. Apple Stores sell Sena cases. I apologize that the Article you have red refers to cases which are constructed by low budget off shore and sell cheaply on sites or auctions, not by prudent responsible company such as Sena or other top case manufacturers in the industry like PIEL FRAMA, VAJA who are the top competitors of Sena cases directly in PDA, SMARTPHONE and iPOD and IPHONE case sales. MANY APPLE store managers have the exact case you have selected and use it with confidence. I will send you an example of the cases you are being warned against as well as our policy again.

Sena cases has extensively tested this substrate that we use which has a magnetic quality and is not a MAGNET round lead button to assure that it cannot hurt your device, credit cards or and medical device on or in a person.

After this response they then quoted their return policy.

I sent this to alert others regarding this company which is not willing to acknowledge the potential problem. Or was your information in Maclife not accurate?
