iPhone Firmware 1.1.3 Leaked
Posted 12/31/2007 at 10:09:08pm | by Mac|Life Staff

Gear Live has allegedly secured iPhone firmware 1.1.3. The newest firmware has the ability to drag applications around the home screen, multiple home screens, Google's Locate Me feature, the ability to add bookmarks to the home page and SMS to multiple people.

Pictures of the upgrade are available here and Gear Live's video walkthrough of the updated iPhone is available here.

How Gear Live was able to secure the update is unknown. Considering Apple's litigious nature concerning unreleased products and secrecy surrounding updates, it's surprising that a cease and desist order hasn't been sent to Gear Live. It's been alleged that an Apple employee released the update in an effort to allow hackers the chance to "jailbreak" the newest update.

Between this and the iTunes rental news being leaked, Steve isn't gonna have many surprises come the 15th.
