Now that O2 and Carphone Warehouse have iPhones in stock, it looks like the Mothership is lacking the iPhone. Both the 8GB and 16GB iPhones are "currently unavailable."

So has Apple misjudged iPhone spring demand, or is this the last piece of the 3G iPhone puzzle. With WWDC almost a month away, Apple could be draining iPhone inventory early so late adopters won't purchase the current iPhone. No one wants to purchase a device, then three weeks later, an update is available.

Of course, there is always the off-chance that Apple will release iPhone 2.0 before WWDC.

We guess this is one way of combating buyers remorse.
