iPod touch hackers have something else to add to their to-do list. Images of the device with the calendar application open are missing the "add event" plus sign.
Apple doesn't seem to want to canabalize their iPhone sales with the iPod touch/PDA. But, as with the Mail program and Google Maps, it'll only be a matter of time before we're filling our iPod touchs with exciting new events.
Yet another one.

Oh man. Great, another flaw of Apple's that I will somehow have to spin and rationalize to my PC using friends. Why Why?
Why apologize?

Just admit that the iPod Touch is not the Palm killer you were expecting it to be.
The calendar functionality is the same as it is on other iPods - read-only.
I don't consider it "spinning" to admit that the iPod Touch is not, and probably never will be, a general-purpose computer. If you want it to be a PDA, we'll you're out of luck (as am I - I also want this.) If you seriously believed it was going to be a full-blown PDA, well, you've got to stop believing what you read on rumor sites.
Yet another one? Who cares.

If your PC friends aren't interested in Apple's latest invention, so what? If someone wants to buy an iPod Touch, great. If not, that's cool too. I think it's phenomenal, and I'm buying one. If you don't agree, that's A-OK.
What's with the need for group-think? Sheesh.

The iPod Touch is perfectly capable of inputting text to the calendar. The fact that older scroll wheel iPods can't either is a very pathetic excuse.
Withholding features from a software-locked device simply to prevent it from being better than another product (iPhone) is complete stupidity. Locking people out of features makes Apple no better than Microsoft.
This is so dumb. Is apple

This is so dumb. Is apple just hoping that we will pay for an "upgraded" iPod touch later? Why else would they remove functionality?
