Is there a way I can get my mail window to go wide screen?

Letterbox, a free plug-in for Apple Mail, does one thing and does it well. Upon installation, the plug-in rearranges Mail’s interface so the message-preview pane is to the right of the message list,instead of below the message list like in the standard view. This option is tailor-made for owners of large-screen PowerBooks and MacBook Pros, as well as widescreen desktop displays. For practical use, the developer recommends a screen resolution of at least 1,280 pixels wide, which we found to be the absolute.
