New: Keep It Together 1.3.8

KIT is like a magic scrapbook for everything you want to keep. Text, documents, images, movies, sounds, web pages and bookmarks can all be dragged to KIT for safe keeping, tagged, previewed, collected together in different ways and found instantly. Using KIT is as straightforward as drag and drop. Pretty much anything can be dragged to and from KIT from any application. KIT can also link to files using aliases, so you can move or rename the originals without KIT losing track of them.

KIT also lets you add items from other applications through the Services menu or using KIT's Dock menu without having to leave the application you are working in. With KIT you can quickly create notes for those bits of information you need to jot down and keep somewhere. KIT can also save bookmarks for web pages, file servers, whatever in files that can be used with any application. And you save whole web pages into web archives from within KIT, preserving the original text, images, links, etc.

When it comes to organizing all this, KIT has a few tricks up its sleeve. You can arrange your files into groups, which are similar to folders, but with the essential difference that a file can be kept in more than one group at a time so you can reuse your stuff. You can also create smart groups, which do all the hard work for you, rate items and use color-coded categories to for quick visual recognition.

KIT uses the super-fast search technology built into Mac OS X to index everything you add to it and keeps track of any changes. KIT can search inside Word, RTF, PDF and many other file formats - but what about files that do not contain text? KIT has an answer for them too, letting you add searchable tags and comments to files, so you'll always be able to find what you're looking for.

REQUIREMENTS: Mac OS 10.4 or later
