I purchased a truepower battery for my 17" macbook which started to expand just like the Apple battery. When I tried to return the battery since it was still under warranty I couldn't get anyone from the company to return my calls or emails. After 5 attempts Darlene responded and gave me all sorts of excuses as to why no one responded. She gave me an RMA# so I returned the battery. I was then told that battery wouldn't be available for a month, which turned in to 2 then 3...then 5. Now, I am back to no responses to my inquiries. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau who also received no response from FastMac. How does this company expect to stay in business if they won't back up what they sell? I will now resort to challenging the credit card charge for the warranty not being honored. So frustrating.

I've had this battery in my Macbook Pro since March. Performance-wise it works well, however in the past month it has started to come apart and is bulging out from the bottom of the computer. Not good.
I've contacted the company for a replacement, which I'm sure they'll honor but still this is an issue of safety.

I've had this battery for about 15 months and 83 cycles and have this same problem as well. I contacted customer service and spoke to Darlene at the company who tried to convince me unsuccessfully that it was normal for a battery to do this at this stage and that it has just run out of life. They refuse to send me a replacement and instead wanted me to purchase another battery from them! Unbelievable. I'm never dealing with this company again and advise anyone thinking about buying from them not to do it unless they want a cheap and defective product.
