On Saturday, April 3, lines will be forming around the country at
Apple Stores and people will be waiting for their chance at an iPad. We
want to help you with the wait, so we would like to present the top-ten things to do
while waiting in line at the Apple Store. If you're waiting at home, you can follow along too ... after all, the FedEx people can only drive so fast.
Here it is:
10 - Create a Twitter Account and/or update your status every minute. Trust us, your followers will be thanking you!
9 - If you're not tired of doing so yet, dream about holding the iPad in your grubby hands and saying "My Preccccccious" over and over again.
8 - Bring along Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, or another fun, addicting, and long playing board game. Heck, you could even get a few games on your iPhone if you have one. We're sure there will be other people willing to play along with you.
7 - Say your parting words to your MacBook/MB Pro/iPhone. I'm sure they'll miss you and they might even cry. So break it slowly and tell them that in a few weeks, you'll be back.
6 - Organize your iTunes library and clean up messy song/movie/tv show meta-data. Oh, and make sure you add artwork because the last thing you want on a new iPad is missing artwork.
5 - Sleep. Take a nap. Snore some logs. Hit the sack. Hey, the lines could be long. Just make sure you'll have someone to wake you up (that is ... someone you trust) because when the lines start moving, they'll be movin'.
4 - Take pictures, then tweet, email, or blog them, and share it with all of your friends.
3 - Think of ebooks you want to purchased on the iBookstore when you get your iPad.
2 - Continue the debate on which iPad model to get. Wi-Fi only or 3G? 16, 32, or 64-GB?
1 - Pay for your iPad by selling concessions to others waiting in line. You never know how much thirsty and hungry fanboys and girls will pay for a quick snack.
There you have it, the top ten things to do while waiting in line. If you'll be camping out, remember the things to bring along with you (you know, all of the necessities): Sleeping bag, notebook, iPhone, snacks, and drinks. If you're camping outside, you probably don't want to bring along too many expensive devices -- you probably don't want to get robbed in the middle of the night.
Did we miss something, are you taking something that we didn't mention? Tell us what your plans are in the comments.
