Keeping your photos in sync between Macs and iOS devices doesn't have to be a challenge, and Adobe continues to beef up its Revel arsenal with new album, sharing and captions features.
Adobe has announced the release of Adobe Revel 1.5, an update to the company's Mac and iOS cloud-based photo app that brings a list of welcome new features.
Adobe Revel 1.5 introduces albums for organizing photos exactly the way you'd like. Create an album on one device and it will be automatically updated on all others, accessible from wherever you are.
The company has also introduced AdobeRevel.com, a companion website for sharing photos saved to the subscription service. Users can now share private web albums with friends and family, viewable from any web browser.
Both Mac and universal iOS apps have been updated with an all-new user interface, making Adobe Revel more intuitive and easier to navigate. Users can also finally add captions to their photos, adding context to images with text descriptions.
Finally, Revel can now display images in either track or grid views, and logging in no longer requires an Adobe ID -- users can also use either Facebook or Google accounts to access their cloud images.
If you've already tried Adobe Revel but never subscribed, Adobe has some good news: You can download the apps and log in with your existing Adobe ID to start another 30-day complimentary subscription. If you like it, a Revel subscription is only $5.99 per month as an in-app purchase.
Adobe Revel 1.5 is now available in both the Mac App Store and App Store and the updates to both are free; the company has Android and Windows clients in the works as well.
