We've all heard the stories before about the iPhone being able to use its GPS capabilities to track down criminals in the past. Well in a new aspect of iDevices coming to the rescue, recent adventurer Katie Spotz relied on iPods to help with her journeys.
Spotz said that iPods were able to help preserve her sanity, helping to add some much needed comfort and sanity as she became the youngest person ever, as well as the second woman - to row solo on the Atlantic Ocean from Africa to South America.
If you'll recall, Spot started her trek on January 3, 2010 from Senegal, and landed in Georgetown, Guyana on March 14. It was during this time that her lineup of Apple products like iPods and an iTouch, kept her company.
Spotz utilized audiobooks, music, movies as well as lectures for motivation, helping to keep her mental stamina up for the challenge. The products were all able to stay charged through solar power.
