Fall. Back to school. Back to scouring the web for a cheaper deal on your textbooks. Most likely, Amazon was one of the first places you would check for lower priced textbooks -- and to check you needed lots of arcane information like ISBN numbers or the full book title with right edition.
Well, Amazon may have just made your life a little easier.
The Amazon Student App for iPhone and iPod touch allows instant price-checks on textbooks. All you need to do is pick up the book you are supposed to buy and scan the barcode with the app. If Amazon has it, you'll get an instant price check -- and of course the option to one-click buy it from Amazon.
Not only that, but when you are done with the class, you can rescan the barcode and get an instant buy-back quote from Amazon. If the price is right, you can ship the book back to Amazon for free and get an Amazon.com gift card.

The Amazon Student App also includes a free six-month enrollment in Amazon Prime, which gives you free two-day shipping for the next six months.
The Amazon Student app is free and available for iPhone and iPod touch through the iOS App Store.
