Last Halloween, Rovio Mobile released Angry Birds Halloween to coincide with the holiday. That eventually gave birth to Angry Birds Seasons for the December holidays. Now, we have word that the next edition will be Angry Birds Valentine's Day.
The announcement came by way of a German television program, Deutsche Welle, which was translated and reported by UK outlet, Electric Pig.
The program, according to Electric Pig, stated in German, "The designers at Rovio are currently working on new versions of their game, like this update in pink, due to come on the market on 14 February: Valentine’s day.” The announcement also gave a brief look at the new version, which, as the program states, is essentially just Angry Birds with pink fluffy trees and cotton-white clouds.
With several special editions already on the market, 12 million units sold, a new Angry Birds-themed board game on the way, plus a children's television show being planned, it's hard to be surprised that Rovio would continue expanding their brand with these games. They are a fantastic way to keep the game fresh in people's minds. Until there is an official Angry Birds 2, expect these holiday themed games to continue almost indefinitely.

I'm kind of burned out on the AB, sad to say. I never finished the Christmas levels, doubt I'll bother with any more from here on out. So long & thanks for all the pigs!

Angry Birds is now the #2 most most popular paid app and #2 paid game in the United Kingdom app store. Also the Angry Birds Lite app is not even in the list of top 10 apps
