Almost as soon as the iPhone was first released in the summer of 2007, enterprising developers were hard at work making it do things that Apple never expected. One of those developers, Readdle, jumped into the platform with both feet nearly a year before an official App Store was ever released to the public.
Readdle is probably best known to App Store users for their Swiss Army knife of document reading and attachment saving, ReaddleDocs, which made the leap to the iPad earlier this year. The company is celebrating their third anniversary this week in grand style, complete with a contest to give away one of three iPads to their followers on Twitter until Tuesday, August 3.
"Over the last three years, Readdle has grown strong throughout the many challenges on the new platform” said Readdle co-founder Igor Zhadanov on the company’s third anniversary. “I attribute our success to two things: First, a single platform focus, namely helping iPhone owners with their need to productive and efficient on the go. Second, a mutual collaboration between the peers in our team and individual approach to each user. This serves both our company and our customers very well."
In addition to the iPad contest on Twitter, Readdle is also celebrating with steep discounts on all of their popular iOS apps, which are just 99 cents until Tuesday, August 3. That includes the revolutionary file manager, document reader and attachment viewer ReaddleDocs (available in separate versions for both iPhone/iPod touch as well as iPad) and Scanner Pro, which transforms the camera on your iPhone into a portable document scanner.
To be eligible for the Twitter contest, you must be a Readdle app owner (any one will do, including free apps), then follow @readdle on Twitter and then tweet a short promo message to your followers: “Readdle turns 3: Follow @readdle, RT to win an #iPad. $0.99 for any app (48 hours sale) http://readdle.com/3years.” Three lucky tweeters will be randomly selected on August 10 to win one of three iPads. The complete official rules are posted on the Readdle website.
Congrats to Readdle on their third anniversary and for their continued support of the iOS platform. Now go forth and try to win an iPad!
