Many users have reported problems with their iPhone 3GS and Wi-Fi, and Apple has finally acknowledged the problem. In their knowledge base they offer up a four step
process on determining if your iPhone is affected. Affected devices will be able to see a wireless network, but will be unable to load from the connection.
On Apple's support website, you can view troubleshooting info to see if your iPhone is one that's affected. If you are unable to fix the Wi-Fi issue with the information supplied on the page, Apple recommends that you seek repairs for your device.
