Both parties in the Apple vs. Psystar case have agreed to resolve outside of court, in lieu of a trial. The case will still require several months, but the outcome could simply result in a negotiated settlement.
Last April, Psystar challenged Apple to bring a lawsuit against the company for purportedly packaging hacked versions of Mac OS X on custom built machines. Apple complained that the company violated OS X’s end-user license agreement, but Psystar simply struck back with a counter-suit alleging that Apple’s end-user agreement actually defies monopoly laws.
The actual verdict in the case could remain private because of the ADR.
