As April 3 is starting to draw nigh, MacRumors noted that some of their readers were claiming that Apple has started to place preauthorization holds on each consumer's account for pre-orders that were placed earlier in the month.
This hold is representing a check just to make sure that enough credit would be available for pending transactions for when Apple starts to ship out iPad orders.
But what is interesting in all of this, is that customers were also reporting that preauthorization holds that were placed on their accounts were for both the Wi-Fi edition AND Wi-Fi + 3G iPad orders. If you will recall, the Wi-Fi + 3G models were not supposed to be available until "late April", and why exactly Apple started to initiate this process so early on. Wi-Fi models are due to be released on April 3.
How many MaclLifers out there have pre-ordered iPads and are starting to see that pre-authorization hold? Let us know in the comments below!
