The first week of October is already a memory, but new iPhone 5 owners apparently won't have to wait much longer to get their hands on the new Lightning to 30-pin Adapters that Apple promised to ship this month.
MacRumors is reporting that several of its Australian readers have notified the website that their Lightning to 30-pin Adapter orders have started to ship from Apple and expected to arrive this week.
Keep in mind that these customers appear to have been queued from the first batch of orders placed alongside the iPhone 5, so if you procrastinated on ordering your Lightning adapters, you may still have a bit of a wait ahead of you.
Apple is the sole provider (for now) of Lightning cables and adapters, and while the company has been shipping the $19 Lightning to USB Cable included with the iPhone 5 in quantity, the more expensive $29 Lightning to 30-pin Adapter and a $39 version which includes a short cable were listed right out of the gate as being unavailable until October.
Well, October is here, and it seems like we won't have much longer to wait to get our hands on one, ending a national nightmare that began on September 21 with the release of the iPhone 5.
