Apple announced new Mac Pros in late July, but did not place them on sale until last week. These behemoths feature either 4, 8, or even twelve processing cores. Unfortunately, Apple was estimating up to a 10-day wait to get one. Well, that day has finally come for many who were the first to order.
AppleInsider reports that customers began receiving shipping notices in their e-mail inbox today, with scheduled delivery dates of August 24th.
Apple has also decreased the shipping estimate on their website for all flavors of the new Mac Pro. Estimated shipping times are now 5-7 business days, down from 7-10 days when the product was first announced.
As you may recall, the new machines feature upgraded processors, 3GBs of RAM, 1TB hard drive, and come standard with an ATI-only graphics option. You can find out more about the new Mac Pros on Apple's website.
