Apple Bids Adieu to Paris Expo
It has been announced that Reed Exhibitions will not hold Apple Expo Paris in 2009. The show's organizers have confirmed the end of the long running event to Macworld.
This is yet another smackdown for Apple tradeshows. Yesterday, Apple announced that 2009 will be their last appearence at Macworld Expo San Francisco. In 2008, Apple announced that it wouldn not attend the Apple Expo Paris, and planned to attend fewer trade shows.
Apple in recent years has had history of pulling out of Mac tradeshows and triggering the show's demise. After pulling out of Macworld Boston and New York, both shows eventually folded. IDG is commited to at least one more Macworld San Francisco in 2010. After that, we'll just have to wait and see.
