It all started in 2000, when Gregory McKenna claimed he was threatened to be killed by the Mafia at a Missouri night club if he didn't model for them for a New York City fashion show. On July 15, the Beverly Hills resident filed a lawsuit against Apple for "stalking, extortion, and torture" via bugged devices.
McKenna claims that his house, car, and Apple iPods, one of which was bought on eBay and the other at the Apple Store, were bugged and allowed the Italian Mafia to transmit threats saying, "I'm going to kill him," on his iPod mini. He also claims to have heard a modified version of Mike Jones' rap song, "Still Tippin'," stating:
"Tippin' on four fours, wrapped in four vogues, HERPES. Tippin' on four fours, wrapped in four vogues. Tippin' on four fours, wrapped in four vogues, AHH."
The word 'herpes' that was placed into this version is there "to humiliate, degrade, and cause emotional stress," as stated on the lawsuit.
