More Apple patents have arrived on the scene at the USPTO website, and it looks like the Cupertino-based technology giant is conjuring up a few mobile app ideas. Currently, there are patents for three different apps that focus on travel, hotel and designer fashion shopping.
In the patent, Apple includes descriptions for things like sending travel promotions, making reservations through the app, information about airport services, a virtual boarding pass, remote check-in, in-flight services, and sending automatic arrival information to the person picking you up at the airport. All three of the apps include a variation of these services, though the designer fashion app includes invitations to special events and catalogues on demand.

Clearly, Apple is trying to hit a different kind of market where consumers look to the company for their retail and travel needs. Though there are plenty of third-party apps that already provide these kind of services, Apple is most likely trying to usurp these particular services and offer them up first hand to their loyal customers. Frankly, we like it!
