While Apple's acquisition of the music streaming service LaLa has certainly been oft talked about, many were wondering just what that might entail for them in terms of iTunes. Well, wonder no more. Apple has finally full-enabled web browser-based song previews of tracks that are up for sale at iTunes, according to 9 to 5 Mac.
Apple had first brought to light iTunes Preview in November last year. However, one could only review song listings through a browser, and not actually be able to listen to them without bringing up iTunes.
Now users can access 30 second previews of music via the new feature, which is available via an iTunes Preview link on a web browser.
Of course, if you like the jams that you're listening to, there's a button available to just proceed and purchase it through iTunes.
Tech specs are that tracks are played back using Quicktime and are encoded at 44.1 AAC 300+ kbits/second.
