Now that OS X Lion has finally arrived, Apple is wasting no time making its influence known across their product lines. Case in point, the company is now shipping their Mac keyboards with icons specific to the functions of the big cat on the F3 and F4 keys.
9to5Mac is reporting that Apple has started to ship Mac keyboards with updated graphics on the F3 and F4 keys, matching the Mission Control and Launchpad functions assigned to them by default. As you may recall, these keys were previously dedicated to Exposé and Dashboard on previous versions of the Mac keyboard, but OS X Lion is already making its influence known.
“The F3 key, which has undergone a redesign, no longer have the frame that characterized the previous keyboards, will start to launch the new feature Mission Control,” reports iSpazio, who first noticed the revision. “The F4 key, however, has totally changed image, and was introduced to Launchpad.”
iSpazio received the wired keyboard, but presumably the wireless model will soon get the same refresh. Anyone seeing the updated icons on your new Apple keyboard?
