One of Apple's largest venues for when it comes to Apple users helping other Apple users has gotten a facelift. Apple has pulled the wool off of the new Apple Support Communities support forum that it had announced last year. With it comes new social network features, and it replaces the Apple Discussions board.
Apple had originally announced the Support Communities upgrade to its online forums back in August on the Apple Discussion Board.
"Apple Support Communities brings together thousands of Macintosh, iPod, iPhone, and iPad users from around the world to discuss Apple products and topics," read the official introduction. "Apple Support communities provides a wealth of information about your favorite Apple hardware and software products to help you get the most out of your purchase. And, in the spirit of community, you can also help other Apple Support Communities' users by answering their questions."
Users are advised to browse through other "communities" to find one focused on the relevant product or topic, and thereafter joining in on the discussion with replying or liking posts. If one doesn't find the answer they're looking for, they can then submit a question to the community.
To join, you simply use your Apple ID, and then pick out a username for the Community and then approval the new ASC terms and conditions.
