An NVIDIA insider claims that Apple will launch NVIDIA-based Macs at Macworld and Intel’s Core i7 processor may play a part in Apple’s new lineup.
Ryan Shrout of PC Perscpective claims that Apple will have “at least” four iMacs showcased featuring the GeForce 9400M. Apple has unintentionally confirmed this in files referring to unreleased versions of the desktop computers.
Two of these computers may be 20-inch models, with a higher end version including the same graphics chipset as the MacBook Pro. Two 24-inch versions would include the 9600M, while a higher end version would include the faster 9800M.
Shrout also claims that there will be a 28-inch iMac that would use Intel’s X58 chipset and the Core i7 processor and that some form of the GeForce 9400M will be included in the new upgrade of Apple’s compact computer, the Mac Mini.
Whether or not Shrout’s predictions are accurate is unclear, but we’re bound to find out this week.
