Apple Tablet skeptics, It's time to mark September 9 down on your calendar because Apple may have scheduled a media event for that day. What will be released? We don't really know, but history tells us that this pre-fall event will feature iPod upgrades, not generally new Macs.
Strangely enough, this will be allegedly scheduled on a Wednesday and not on the traditional Tuesday that Apple is fond of using. This event could be held in San Fransisco. There is no word yet on where it will be held or who will be giving the keynote. Perhaps this will be the first Stevenote since his sick leave earlier this year.
There is speculation that Apple has scheduled the event to coincide with the Beatles Rock Band game release and that the relatively unknown band from Liverpool will finally offer up tracks on the iTunes store.

We may see a model release similar to the U2 limited edition iPod for the Beetles.
