In a festive effort to promote its new iTunes LP format, Apple has released a free holiday sampler of twenty holiday songs from a wide variety of artists, according to AppleInsider.
The download includes songs from artists such as Toby Keith, Weezer, Glasvegas, Barry Manilow and Stephen Colbert. The LP gathers songs from various albums and compilations, with songs such as "The First Noel," "Silent Night," and "O Holy Night."
The sampler includes lyrics from some songs, and album art that displays what record the song was originally from. It also includes winter graphics, such as falling snowflakes in the background.
Apple initially released the LP format for iTunes back in September, which combines a whole album with additional bonus content, graphics and designs. The original intent was to boost sales of whole albums, rather than singles.
