If you purchased an iPad recently, Wednesday's announcement of the iPad 2 might have left you with some bitterness, jealousy, and buyer's remorse. Well, remorse no more, because Apple's confirmed that customers who purchased the iPad 1 after February 16th are entitled to a $100 refund.
With the announcement of the iPad 2 came the announcement that the iPad 1 would be on sale for $100 off (while supplies last, naturally). So this discount brings the cost for recent purchasers down to this new, discounted price. To get the discount, you'll need to return to the store you purchased your iPad at, receipt in hand. If you purchased online, you'll have to call Apple's 1-800 number to have your refund processed.
This is pretty generous of Apple, and is a great way to ease the pain of their customers, and puff up their image as a company that cares.

Still hurts for us that made the purchase at Christmas. I would have waited. Same money would have got me the 2. I'm new to the world of Apple and after I mentioned it to a friend he told me I should have waited but it was to late by then. I do at least have the new Mac Book pro on order. Now if they could just get the darn 17" thing to me. Apparently no one gets all the available upgrades so I am on hold...
