Yet another new Apple television commercial popped up on Sunday as much of the U.S. was basked in the warm glow of a summer heat wave. Once again, the iPad 2 was the star of the show, but the tablet also gave a clever nod back to where it all started as well.
Apple released a new television commercial for the iPad 2 over the weekend entitled “We’ll Always.” Once again proving that they know how to market tablets where their competitors seem to fail, the spot simply shows the user experience of the device in many practical ways, commenting on all the things we’ve always done and how the iPad 2 will change how they’re done in the future.
“We’ll never stop sharing our memories,” the familiar voice of actor Peter Coyote says at the beginning of the new spot. “Or getting lost in a good book. We’ll always cook dinner, and cheer for our favorite team. We’ll still go to meetings, make home movies, and learn new things. But how we do all this will never be the same.”
The commercial features a host of apps including the built-in Photos as well as iBooks, The Photo Cookbook, MLB At Bat, Fuze HD, iMovie and Alphabet Fun, which is where the commercial gives a nod back to Mac OS X -- or rather, OS X Lion in this case, which finally made its debut on the Mac App Store last week.
