If you’re planning to purchase a Verizon iPhone 4 when preorders begin on February 3, you may want to run Software Update -- Apple has pushed out the latest version of iTunes 10, which adds CDMA compatibility in addition to other stability and performance improvements.
MacRumors is reporting that Apple has released iTunes 10.1.2, a modest update to the media player and syncing application for the Mac and Windows. Although the brief update notes simply list “a number of important stability and performance improvements,” the website is reporting that the update also adds support for the CDMA-based iPhone 4 hitting Verizon Wireless next month.
“A look at the release notes included with the actual download reveals, however, that the update also brings support for syncing the CDMA iPhone set to launch on Verizon early next month,” MacRumors reveals.
Whether or not you’re planning to pick up a Verizon iPhone 4 or not, you’ll probably want to grab iTunes 10.1.2 by running Software Update or heading over to Apple’s iTunes download page.
