It seems a software publisher’s work is never done -- even after pushing out a slick 64-bit update to iTunes that support’s OS X Lion full-screen mode, bugs creep in that have to be dealt with, requiring more updates. Such is the case with Monday’s iTunes 10.4.1, which focuses on five such nagging issues.
On Monday afternoon, Apple released iTunes 10.4.1 into the waiting arms of Mac and Windows users, addressing five issues involving media keys on third-party keyboards, adding artwork to songs and videos and other small irritations that creeped in after releasing iTunes 10.4.
The full list of changes with iTunes 10.4.1 is as follows:
- Fixes a problem where the media keys on some third-party keyboards work inconsistently with iTunes
- Addresses issues with adding artwork to songs and videos
- Resolves an issue which may cause iTunes to become unresponsive when purchasing an HD movie
- Fixes a problem where iTunes may take longer than expected to open after waking your Mac from sleep
- Addresses issues with VoiceOver support
If any of those bugs sound like ones that are ailing you, head to Software Update to download a delta patch for your Mac or you can go straight to Apple’s website and download the full version, which clocks in at 90.26MB for the Mac, 77.47MB for Windows 32-bit and 78.32 for Windows 64-bit. You’ll need Mac OS X 10.5 or later as well as QuickTime 7.6 or later to install.
