It appears as though the rumored retail overhaul in Apple's stores has come to fruition. The "2.0" overhaul has started in Australia, where as pictured above, the paper price sheets have been replaced with iPads covered in plexiglass.
While the displays usually show prices, now they can show off features, provide price comparisons, and if need be, can even summon an Apple Specialist over to the table that you might be standing at, at the time.

Most customers were understandably not able to see all new features, such as the RetailMe iPad app for staff. However, as part of the initiative, Apple is said to be focusing on more sessions for new users, better sound systems, as a well as a new iPhone app.
Reportedly, store workers also marked the retail overhaul as a significant occasion, and wore party hats.
That said, it can be expected that Europe and North America will see similar upgrades. For our readers that happen to venture out to an Apple Store today, be sure to let us know what you see and find in the comments below!
