Apple Updates iTunes And iWork to Play Nice with Lion
Following quickly in the tracks left by Lion this morning, Apple has also released updates for iTunes (10.4) and iWork (9.1) to bring the software up to speed with the big cat.
The 90MB iTunes update finally delivers a 64-bit Cocoa version of the media management software, and enables full-screen capability in line with other Apple apps in Lion. iTunes will also work with Lion's Resume, Auto Save and Versions features.
The downloads should be available through Software Update. Alternatively, you can also download them from Apple.
As always, back up your system before you let Lion roar all over your apps.

Does iTunes 10.4 change anything for Leopard or Snow Leopard? The only thing I've noticed is that in Snow Leopard, System Profiler now says iTunes is 64-bit, although Activity Monitor says it is not.

This iTunes update seems to have broken the iTunes.rsrc patch that restored colored icons to the iTunes sidebar. I loved those colored icons. I hope someone is working on a fix for that.
