It’s been a busy week for Apple -- between prepping for the iPad this Saturday and updating Mac OS X 10.6.3, they’ve also found the time to update a lot of smaller pieces and parts, too. One of those is the MobileMe Gallery app for the iPhone.
Now updated to version 1.1,
Apple’s free MobileMe Gallery app was first released back in January, providing iPhone and iPod touch users with an easy way to see photos and movies on the go, including those from their friends’ MobileMe accounts as well.
The new update adds the option to add multiple friends with MobileMe galleries all at once from your contacts, as well as support for a host of new languages including Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish. And of course, what update would complete without those “various stability improvements” we hold so near and dear?
“The update offers a more convenient way to add your friends' galleries so that you can view their photos as easily as your own,” Apple explains. “From the Galleries screen, tap Add a Friend and then Choose Contacts (the number in parentheses indicates how many MobileMe members are in your address book). The Gallery app shows you all your friends in your iPhone contacts with MobileMe accounts while checking to see if they have active galleries. Choose the ones you want and tap Add.”
The free update is
available now from the App Store and requires iPhone OS 3.1 or later.
